Sherlock Biosciences has a powerhouse founding team that includes Feng Zhang, Ph.D. (CRISPR innovator), Jim Collins, Ph.D. (synthetic biology inventor), David Walt, Ph.D. (Illumina scientific founder and a Core Faculty Member at the Wyss Institute at Harvard University), Pardis Sabeti, M.D., D.Phil. (Harvard viral disease outbreaks expert), and Deb Hung, M.D., Ph.D. (Broad Institute’s Infectious Disease and Microbiome Program co-director). Sherlock combines the power of CRISPR with synthetic biology to create an entirely new generation of portable, easy-to-use, and affordable diagnostics. The company’s test could ultimately be used in the field during a disease outbreak, in industrial settings, laboratory, or home.
