Vizgen
A rapidly expanding area of life science research is single molecule and single cell imaging. This emerging field requires high-powered tools and imaging systems to identify and process the complexity of the science. These fields of research are providing insights in biology of complex diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s. Vizgen created the industry’s first solution to combining single-cell and spatial genomics analysis in one integrated system, providing a streamlined workflow from sample preparation through data visualization for broad applications in both fundamental biology and medicine. Vizgen was co-founded by a group of pioneering scientists in the world of high-resolution imaging and single molecule detection including Xiaowei Zhuang, Ph.D. (a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator; David B. Arnold Professor of Science at Harvard University; and the inventor of STORM, one of the first and most widely used super-resolution microscopy methods), Jeffrey Moffitt, Ph.D. (an Investigator at the Program in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology at Harvard Medical School), and David Walt, Ph.D. (Illumina scientific founder and a Core Faculty Member at the Wyss Institute at Harvard University).
